Media Advisory: Housing Forum Connects University of Guelph Students With Those Working to Address Affordable Housing Issues


GUELPH, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2011) - On September 27, University of Guelph students and local housing stakeholders will meet with housing professionals from across Ontario to share experiences and promising approaches to the development of affordable housing. The Wellington-Guelph Housing Forum will explore whether partnership strategies from other communities could be adopted to meet the housing needs of people living in Wellington County and the City of Guelph.

Councillor Gordon Tosh, County of Wellington; Councillor June Hofland, City of Guelph; Sylvain Charlebois, Associate Dean Academic, College of Management & Economics, University of Guelph; and Judith Binder, Corporate Representative, Southwestern Ontario, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, will provide remarks. The event is hosted by the County of Wellington, University of Guelph and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
