Media Advisory/HRSDC: Ground Breaking Ceremony for Innovative Housing

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 24, 2006) - The Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto, along with members from Fife House, WoodGreen Community Services and the Wellesley Institute will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of Wellesley Central Residences Inc., a 112 unit housing facility for seniors and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Participants include Gary Goodyear, MP for Cambridge, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development; The Honourable George Smitherman, MPP Toronto Centre - Rosedale and Minister of Health and Long Term Care; and Councillor Kyle Rae, Ward 27, Toronto Centre - Rosedale.
