OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2007) - The Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, will deliver a speech to members of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce on Canada's Reserve Force.

The Minister will then visit the naval reserve HMCS Queen Charlotte.

Minister Blackburn will also announce on behalf of the Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, a $3.8 million investment to help individuals in Prince Edward Island find and maintain employment.

The Minister will meet with the Honourable Carolyn Bertram, Prince Edward Island Minister of Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour.
