Media Advisory: Inauguration of Heroes Park and Cenotaph in the Presence of the Governor General of Canada


BEACONSFIELD, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 9, 2014) - The official inauguration ceremony for Heroes Park, a permanent symbol honouring all military personnel, police, firefighters, paramedics and first responders will be held on October 15. The Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, the Mayor of Beaconsfield, Georges Bourelle and Heroes Committee Chairman, Major Richard Gratton, will be on site for this occasion.

Located in Shore Park in Beaconsfield, this unique Canadian location will honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have died in the course of their official duties. It will consist of a cenotaph and several paths dedicated to the various honoured organizations.
