OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 29, 2011) - The media are invited to join the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities; Pierre Poilievre, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, and MP for Nepean-Carleton; Mr. Berry Vrbanovic, President of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) as well as other FCM Board Members; and Mr. Éric Forest, President of the Union of Quebec Municipalities, at an announcement about a key federal commitment in Budget 2011.

A bus will be provided to bring media to the Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge construction site. Media who wish to take the bus should assemble at the rear entrance of the Confederation Building (244 Wellington Street) at 8:00 a.m.

A mandatory safety orientation session is required prior to admission to the site. This will begin at 8:45 a.m.

Hard hats are required. Should media wish to borrow safety equipment, this may be arranged.
