Media Advisory: Innovation Takes Centre Stage in Winnipeg at National Transit Conference


WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - May 29, 2015) - From May 30 to June 3, public transit professionals and stakeholders will gather in Winnipeg to attend the CUTA Annual Conference: Innovation in Motion - Powering Growth.

The conference is being hosted by Winnipeg Transit and Official Corporate Sponsor, New Flyer Industries.

Most sessions are open to the media. Monday, June 1

Tuesday, June 2
7:50 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. Breakfast with keynote address by Steve Ashton, Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation and Michael Routledge, Manitoba's Chief Provincial Public Health Officer.
12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. 2015 Corporate Leadership Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the transit industry. The awards distinguish notable achievements of business and transit system members in the fields of Environment, Innovation, Marketing and Communications, and Safety and Security.
Wednesday, June 3
12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Closing Lunch with Keynote Address by Hannu Penttilä, Deputy Mayor of Helsinki.
