Media Advisory/Interview Opportunity: Ottawa-Based Aid Worker Heading to Bangladesh

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 21, 2007) - The Canadian Red Cross is ramping up its response to the needs in Bangladesh following Cyclone Sidr. Ottawa-based aid worker Bernard LaLiberte will be available for media interviews by appointment tomorrow prior to his deployment to Bangladesh where he will help assist the millions left homeless by the devastating cyclone.

As part of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Rapid Response Project that deploys trained aid workers and supplies to areas affected by natural disasters, LaLiberte will work with the Bangladesh Red Crescent that has been playing an active role in response and recovery efforts since before the cyclone struck last week.
