Media Advisory: Invitation to Attend-St. Michael's Hospital's Surgeons Going Where No Surgeon Has Gone Before

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2008) -

Attention: Health and Assignment and Photo Editors/Journalists

St. Michael's Hospital is the first hospital in Toronto to acquire a new generation of advanced surgical robotic device The Da Vinci System. This platform will revolutionize the way that complex operations can be carried out through tiny incisions and very short hospital stays. Dr. Kenneth Pace performed the first robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (an operation performed to cure prostate cancer) in Toronto on Thursday March 20. Together with Dr John Honey, who will be performing the first robotic-assisted pyeloplasty (an operation for fix a blocked kidney) in Toronto tomorrow, they are bringing this exciting new technology to St. Michael's patients and the GTA.

You are invited to be part of these amazing procedures and have unbelievable access to the doctors and film and observe before, during and after the surgeries.
