New solar project presented by Canadian Rockies Public Schools, 2014 Alberta Winter Games and Bullfrog Power

Media are invited to attend the photo opportunity and ribbon cutting for the solar installation on Banff Community High School (BCHS) in an event leading up to the 2014 Alberta Winter Games. Karen Sorensen, the Mayor of Banff, and representatives from both the 2014 Alberta Winter Games and Bullfrog Power will be on hand for the event. In addition to officials from the Canadian Rockies Public Schools Board and BCHS, the students and school green team will be in attendance.

Bullfrog Power is bullfrogpowering the 2014 Alberta Winter Games and helped fund the solar installation on BCHS through its Bullfrog Builds Renewable Accelerator program, which provides financing to help in the construction and development phases of new renewable energy projects across Canada.

About the 2014 Alberta Winter Games

The 2014 Alberta Winter Games (2014 AWG) are held every two years and are a celebration of youth through sports. In 2014 the Games run February 6-9 in the Banff-Canmore area. More than 2,500 athletes (ages 11-17), coaches and officials will participate in 19 sports. The Games provide an opportunity for many of Canada's future elite athletes to enjoy their first taste of competition at a provincial level. They also enable visitors and residents to experience the local culture through a variety of performing and visual arts events and activities.
