OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2012) - Ken Georgetti, President of the Canadian Labour Congress, will attend a Labour Day Parade in Toronto on Monday, September 3. The event is sponsored by the Toronto and York District Labour Council. Georgetti will be available for comments to the media.
Canadian workers have celebrated their achievements on this day since it was declared a national holiday in 1894. The focus this year is on the Union Advantage - how unions stand up for fairness on behalf of their members and all Canadians.
