Media Advisory-Kingston Caravan for Child Care: Child Care Advocates Protest Closure of Ontario College Child Care Centres

KINGSTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 15, 2008) - Child care advocates will drive their cars in a colourful caravan to the office of local MPP John Gerretsen to draw attention to the closure of three Ontario college child care programs.

The Early Childhood Centre at St. Lawrence College is the largest of the three programs and is scheduled to close on July 31. Many area child care programs already have a waiting list and the closures will worsen a crisis in the availability of child care throughout Ontario.
