Media Advisory/Launch of the Ultimate Space Shuttle Mission STS-135: Media Accreditation in Progress

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 26, 2011) - The media accreditation deadline for the next Space Shuttle flight is June 26, 2011. The launch of mission STS-135 is scheduled for July 8 at 11:40 a.m. It will bring four veteran astronauts to the International Space Station aboard the shuttle Atlantis.

The 12-day mission will be the 37th flight to the space station and the 33th and final scheduled flight for Atlantis. It will be the 135th and final mission of NASA's Space Shuttle Program. The STS-135 mission will deliver an experiment designed to demonstrate and test the tools, technologies and techniques needed to robotically refuel satellites in space, even satellites not designed to be serviced.
