Media Advisory: Legalizing Assisted Suicide to Be Debated at University of Toronto

Leaders of Dying With Dignity and Catholic Bioethics Institute to Go Head to Head

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 31, 2012) - Leading secular thinktank the Centre for Inquiry will host a timely debate on the question "Should assisted suicide be legalized in Canada?"

Euthanasia and assisted suicide are back in the spotlight. This debate occurs against the backdrop of Gloria Taylor's "Right to Die" Charter Challenge, an all-party Report to the Quebec government recommending the legalization of "medical aid to die" and a Forum poll showing 67% of Canadians support legalizing assisted suicide.
