OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 1, 2016) - Library and Archives Canada, in association with the Canadian Museums Association, will host "Taking it to the Streets: Summit on the Value of Libraries, Archives and Museums in a Changing World", a two-day, high-level meeting at 395 Wellington Street.
When budgets are tight and the market for information is crowded, libraries, archives and museums are being called on more and more to demonstrate their value. The Summit will help define where memory institutions fit in a world of smartphones, mobile apps, music sequencers, virtual reality headsets, 3-D printers and crowdsourcing.
Media are cordially invited to attend the Summit and hear from a panel of international and national experts. Some of the speakers include:
- Charlotte Gray - Award-winning author and historian
- Derek Kwan - Actor and filmmaker
- Patrice Landry - Swiss National Library
