Media Advisory: Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador to Present Awards to Provincial Organizations for Support to Canadian Forces Reservists

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - March 8, 2011) - Media are invited to an awards ceremony at which the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC) will formally recognize thirteen Newfoundland and Labrador employers and educational institutions that have granted Canadian Forces Reservist employees and students military leave for training and operations. 

The Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Honourable John C. Crosbie, will preside over the ceremony. Provincial CFLC Chair, Mr. Bill Mahoney, and the Canadian Forces Chief Reserves and Cadets (Designate), Commodore Jennifer Bennett, will also attend.

When: Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 3 p.m. (AST).
   
Where: Government House, 50 Military Road, St. John's, Newfoundland.
   
What: The Canadian Forces Liaison Council Newfoundland and Labrador Employer Support Awards ceremony.
