Media Advisory: MADD Canada and LCBO Launch Ontario Damages Tour at Toronto High School

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 12, 2011) - Damages, MADD Canada's new program to educate students about the dangers of impaired driving, begins its tour across Ontario this week with a presentation at St. Joseph's College School in Toronto.

MADD Canada and the program's provincial sponsor, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), are pleased to invite media to the provincial launch:

Date & Time: September 15 at 10:00 a.m.
Location: St. Joseph's College School
74 Wellesley St. W., Toronto, Ontario

Special guests, as well as members of the school staff and student body, will be available to speak with media.

MADD Canada's Damages School Assembly Program tackles head on the problem of impaired driving among the age group which is most at risk. Road crashes are the number one cause of death among 15- to 25-year olds and approximately 50 per cent are alcohol-related. Shown on a giant screen, the program presents students with compelling content and information to help them make informed choices and help prevent impaired driving. Damages and the French show Dommages will be delivered to more than one million students across Canada in Grades 7 through 12 this school year, including more than 600 Ontario schools and half a million students thanks to the generosity of LCBO customers and staff.
