Marlborough Mall and the Calgary Police Service Partner for Tenth Annual Holiday Event


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 2, 2015) -

WHAT: Marlborough Mall and the Calgary Police Service (CPS) are joining forces to make the holiday season a bit brighter for deserving youth. CPS officers will be paired with local children for a day of bonding and holiday shopping. Each participant will receive a $200 gift card donated by Marlborough Mall to spend on gifts and a goodie bag full of holiday treats. In its tenth annual year, the event aims to foster positive relationships between the CPS and Calgary's youth.
WHO: The Calgary Police Service and selected children will kick-off CopShop on Dec. 9, 2015. Those chosen to participate in the event were selected based on need, recognition of academic performance, sports achievement or volunteering efforts that are positively making an impact in the community.
WHEN: Wednesday, December 9, 2015
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Calgary Police Service, Inspector Leah Barber, and select children will be available for interviews during CopShop. The schedule for the event is as follows:
10 a.m. Welcome remarks, Inspector Leah Barber
10:15 a.m. Santa arrives & pairing of students with CPS Officers
10:45 a.m. Shopping followed by lunch
