MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 19, 2005) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading AIDS fundraising organization committed to helping men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS, will hold Maskarade 2005 on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 6 PM at Le Windsor, 1170 Peel Street. The theme: Cabaret.

Dr. Rejean Thomas, honorary President of the 2005 gala, President of la Clinique medicale l'Actuel and founding President of Medecins du Monde Canada, will talk about AIDS and HIV in Quebec. Dr. Thomas is at the forefront of AIDS research in Quebec and around the world. His clinic is known as a global leader in HIV/AIDS research and care.

Isabelle Cyr, this year's master of ceremony will host the event showcasing fabulous prizes, world-class entertainment and culinary delights from BICE. This multitalented artist, who has been nominated for a Genie Award, will make the evening extra special with her charm, charisma and passion for the cause.

MAC Viva Glam plays an integral role as this year's platinum sponsor. More than 350 guests are expected at the event and will be treated to outstanding entertainment. Internationally renowned violinist, Lucia Micarelli is set to perform. This young virtuoso has toured the globe with Josh Groban and her career is only getting started. Louise Pitre, the Tony Award nominated Broadway star will give life to the cabaret theme of the event with her outstanding voice. Not only that, guests will be privy to a special Cabaret-style surprise.
