Media Advisory: Members of Parliament Fergus and McGuinty to Announce Kick-Off Celebrations for the 150th Anniversary of Confederation in Canada's Capital Region

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 19, 2016) - Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament (Hull-Aylmer), and David McGuinty, Member of Parliament (Ottawa South), will make an announcement on Thursday about activities that will be held on December 31 in Canada's Capital Region to kick off celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Mr. Fergus and Mr. McGuinty will make this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage. They will be accompanied by Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa, and Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin, Mayor of Gatineau.
