A memorial honouring more than 1,000 Italian workers who died in workplace accidents in Ontario will be unveiled at the Villa Charities campus in Toronto on April 28th.

The 3 p.m. unveiling ceremony coincides with the international Day of Mourning for workers killed, injured or disabled on the job. The memorial is the culmination of a six-year effort to formally recognize Italian workers' enormous sacrifices in the building and industrial development of Ontario.

Who: The event will be attended by: Toronto Mayor John Tory; Hon. Steven Del Duca, Minister of Transportation; Hon.
