Media Advisory: Memorial Service for the 58th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and Announcement of Funding for Historica-Dominion Institute

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 26, 2011) - Veterans will be honoured during two separate events on July 27 at the Meadowvale Cemetery.

The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, and Eve Adams, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs, together with the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, will join the Korea Veterans Association, Ontario Region, to remember the 58th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.

Following the ceremony, Minister Blaney and Ms. Adams will announce funding for a project with the Historica-Dominion Institute.
