Media Advisory: Minister Keith Ashfield to Deliver Speech on the Underground Economy and Hold Roundtable Discussion With Taxpayers


THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2011) - On Thursday, February 24, 2011, the Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway will be in Thunder Bay to deliver a speech at Confederation College and participate in a roundtable discussion with local business leaders as part of a series of economic consultations with taxpayers across the country.

Minister Ashfield will also talk about how the Government of Canada is supporting job-creating businesses and working to combat the underground economy through outreach, education and communication, as well as through audit and enforcement programs.
