Media Advisory: Minister Kenney and the Historica-Dominion Institute Co-Host the Canadian Citizenship Challenge

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2010) - The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, and The Historica-Dominion Institute will co-host the Canadian Citizenship Challenge: "Are you Smarter than a 10th Grader?" event. The challenge, funded in part by CIC and run by The Historica-Dominion Institute, encourages students to study the new citizenship guide, Discover Canada: the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship, and then put that knowledge to the test. This particular event will feature a game-show style competition that pits two reporters from the Parliamentary Press Gallery against students from a Grade 10 Civics class to see who knows more about Canada, its history and political institutions.
