Media Advisory: Minister Kenney to Officially Launch Black History Month

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 31, 2011) - The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, will host the Government of Canada's official launch of Black History Month 2011.

Speakers include Fitzroy Gordon, President of CARN 987 Radio in Toronto.  Baseball great Ferguson Jenkins will also be present and Canada Post will unveil commemorative stamps of Mr. Jenkins as well as Nova Scotia activist and publisher Carrie Best.

A new virtual Canadian black museum entitled Canadian Black History: an Interactive Experience will also be launched.
