Media advisory - Minister Lunn and Minister Baird to Announce New Clean Energy Initiative

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 16, 2007) - On Wednesday, January 17, the Honourable
Gary Lunn, Minister of Natural Resources, will make an important announcement
about new funding for the development of clean-energy technologies in Canada.
Minister Lunn will be joined by the Honourable John Baird, Minister of
the Environment, Pierre Poilievre, M.P. for Nepean-Carleton, and Vicky Sharpe,
President and CEO of Sustainable Development Technology Canada.
The announcement will be made at Natural Resources Canada's CANMET Energy
Technology Centre (CETC) in Ottawa to highlight the research and partnerships
that the Government of Canada is developing.
Minister Lunn and Minister Baird will ride a hybrid electric bus to CETC,
and media are invited to accompany them to receive a media briefing en route.
Media are asked to confirm attendance by 3:00 p.m., January 16, to ensure
