Media Advisory: Minister MacKay to Deliver Keynote 9/11 Address in New York

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 8, 2011) - On September 9, the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, will deliver a keynote luncheon address in New York City, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Media are invited to attend the address entitled 9/11 Ten Years On: Canada-US Security Relations Today and Over the Coming Decade. In his speech, Minister MacKay will speak to how the North American security and defence relationship has evolved since 9/11, Canadian contributions to international operations, and what the coming decade might hold for Canada-US security relations.

The address is part of a larger half-day conference A Decade of Evolving Partnership: A Look at the Canada-US Relationship Since September 11. The event is being hosted by The Foreign Policy Association, a U.S. non-profit organization.
