OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 25, 2014) - The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), will be joined by Shona Robison, Scotland's Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport; Alistair Carmichael, UK Secretary of State for Scotland; Brian MacPherson, CEO, Commonwealth Games Canada; and select Canadian Commonwealth Games athletes and area school children to take part in the Queen's Baton Relay on Monday.
The first Canadian Stage of the Relay will take place at Rideau Hall with another on Parliament Hill. The Relay leads up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
