Media Advisory: Minister of Veterans Affairs' Events in Vancouver

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - The Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will participate in two events in Vancouver on Tuesday, April 22nd at the Airport Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre.



Event: Announcement of new Operational Stress Injury clinic

Minister Thompson, along with Lorna Howes, Director of Mental Health, Vancouver, Acute and Community at Vancouver Coastal Health, will be available to speak with the media about a new Operational Stress Injury clinic in Vancouver. This new clinic will provide services for members and Veterans of the Canadian Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police living with service-related mental health injuries, and their families. Veterans and CF members will be in attendance.
