Media Advisory: Minister of Veterans Affairs Honours Exceptional Citizens from Quebec

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 2, 2011) - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will present 14 citizens of Quebec with the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation during a ceremony to be held in Montréal.

The list of recipients includes the Honourable Gilles Lamontagne, the former Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, federal cabinet minister and mayor of Quebec City. Also among the recipients are author and documentary filmmaker Alain Stanké and the Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau.
