Media Advisory: Minister Ritz to Make Announcement Regarding Alberta-Based Research Network

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 5, 2009) - Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, accompanied by Member of Parliament Rick Casson (Lethbridge), will make an announcement tomorrow regarding the Canadian Triticale Biorefinery Initiative (CTBI), an Alberta-based research network.

CTBI will help position Canada as an international leader in triticale production research. Triticale is a hybrid of wheat and rye and it can be used to produce ethanol.
