Media Advisory: Mission STS-127 Launch Delayed

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 13, 2009) - The launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour with Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Julie Payette aboard, originally expected to take place this morning at 7:17 a.m. EDT, has been scrubbed due to a gaseous hydrogen leak detected near the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP), similar to what happened during the first launch attempt of STS-119.

NASA officials will meet on Sunday, June 14, to review and discuss a new plan for launching the Shuttle. The next launch attempt is not expected until June 17, 2009 (no earlier).

The Canadian Space Agency will issue additional information as it becomes available.
