OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 14, 2012) - The Sens Foundation will host the ninth annual Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House presented by the Ottawa Citizen on Sunday, June 17, at Scotiabank Place.
What: This year's Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House presented by the Ottawa Citizen will feature the Irving Oil Tot-Trot, 2km PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP route and 5km Enterprise route. Event festivities include the Nordion Family Fun Zone located at Gate 1 of Scotiabank Place, as well as an array of activities for participants and families, including the Sens Street Tour, face painting, balloon artists, live entertainment and much more.
8 a.m. - Registration opens
9 a.m. - Welcoming remarks
9:25 a.m. - Release of six butterflies to commemorate Roger's House sixth anniversary
9:30 a.m. - Spartacat stretch
9:45 a.m. - Irving Oil Tot-Trot, 2km PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and 5km Enterprise routes
10 a.m. - Nordion Family Fun Zone opens
11 a.m. - Lunch for participants provided by Mattamy Homes
Noon - Event concludes

Roger's House is the charity of choice of the Sens Foundation. Now in it's sixth year of operation, it has had more than 1,760 admissions from across Ontario and western Quebec. The welcoming home-away-from-home atmosphere comforts children with life-limiting illnesses and their families that are admitted to the state-of-the-art, eight-bedroom facility, where dedicated professionals and volunteers provide the best in compassionate care and support. The Sens Foundation provides more than $1 million annually in support to Roger's House including funds for operating, capital, Quebec patient support and endowments.
