Media Advisory: MPs Don Their Purple Best to "Do it for Daron"

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 7, 2011) - The Honourable John Baird, Government House Leader and MP for Ottawa West – Nepean, will welcome Ottawa Senators Assistant Coach Luke Richardson and his wife Stephanie to Parliament Hill as MPs from across party lines take part in the 1st Annual 'Do It For Daron – Purple Pledge Day.'

This February 8th would have marked the 15th birthday of the Richardsons' daughter, Daron. Tragically and unexpectedly, Daron took her own life in November 2010. The 'Do It For Daron' campaign aims to raise funds for and awareness of youth mental health and suicide prevention programs.
