WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 28, 2011) - Throughout this half-day event, housing providers, government partners, local families with first-hand experience, and a CMHC Housing Award winner will share success stories and discuss best practices for the future.
In addition to an update from the City of Windsor, the day's featured speakers will include parents who have secured affordable, appropriate homes for their adult children, a Halifax private sector partnership which is providing affordable, independent housing options for people who require supports, and other inspirational journeys from community residents.
This event, hosted in partnership by the City of Windsor, the County of Essex, Windsor Essex Family Network, Windsor Essex Brokerage for Personal Supports, Community Living Windsor, and Community Living Essex County, will enable the Windsor-Essex community to share ideas and collaborate towards home options for residents in the region.
