Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is the authoritative source for forest
fire information across Canada. To remain informed throughout the forest

The Forest Fire in Canada Web site features many useful and easy-to-use
tools, including:
- the weekly National Wildland Fire Situation Report, which summarizes
current fire activity and provides forecasts for the coming week;
- the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System, which monitors daily
forest fire conditions and fire occurrences across Canada;
- quick access to provincial and territorial fire agencies; and
- forest fire facts.

Users can also access the near-real-time interactive map to zoom in on
forest fires near their community or to view periodic satellite images of
larger active fires.
