Media Advisory: New Investment in Research Infrastructure Supports Canada's Research Capacity

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 6, 2009) - On April 7, the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology, will join Dr. Eliot Phillipson, President and CEO for the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), to announce a significant new investment in cutting-edge infrastructure at research institutions across Canada.

After the announcement, there will be a photo opportunity and media availability, followed by a tour of the Laboratory and Field Equipment for Investigations of Organic Chemical Contamination in Fractured Rock Beneath Industrial Sites. This CFI-funded infrastructure consists of research on ground water and fractured rock. Broadcast quality visuals will be available on-site.
