McGuinty government failing to protect animals, people

WSPA assigns a grade of 'F' to Ontario zoos

When: Tuesday, October 4th, at 10:00 am EDT

What: A new report, Failing the Grade: A Report on Conditions in
Ontario's Zoos, says that animals are suffering, public at risk as a
result of inadequate zoo licensing. Report cards will be issued to
16 Ontario zoos, the majority of which failed a new zoo exhibit audit
conducted by the World Society for the Protection of Animals. An
overall report card will assign a grade of 'F' to the Ontario
government for failing to address animal welfare and public safety
problems observed at Ontario zoos.
