Media Advisory: Nova Scotia Employers to Receive Awards for Support to the Reserve Force

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - March 18, 2009) - Nine organizations, including local businesses and educational institutions, will receive awards for their support to Canada's Reserve Force, Thursday, March 19, 2009. Former lieutenant-governor of Nova Scotia and currently Maritime Forces Atlantic Honorary Captain (Navy), the Honourable Myra A. Freeman, will be in attendance to present these awards. Organized by the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC), the ceremony will be attended by Commodore Mark Norman, Commander Canadian Fleet Atlantic, and George T.H. Cooper, CFLC Chair in Nova Scotia.

Where: The Wardroom, 27 Lorne Terrace, CFB Halifax, Halifax, Nova Scotia

When: Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.
