Centre to Help Canadian Firms Bring Products to Market

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2006) - The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) has founded a new commercialization centre to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Western Canada's nutraceutical, functional food and natural health products industries survive their risky start-up years. The BioAccess Commercialization Centre will offer business development support programs and services to innovative firms in the region helping Canada claim a stake in the lucrative $150 billion natural health products global market.

Industry veterans, local SMEs and community stakeholders will be on
hand to celebrate the launch of this much anticipated facility.
