Media Advisory: NRT to Release Canada's First Analysis of the Costs of Climate Change

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2011) - The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRT) will release Canada's first national study examining what the economic impacts to Canada could be as a result of climate change.

Paying the Price: the Economic Impacts of Climate Change for Canada is the first national study to show what the economic consequences to Canada could be as a result of climate change, based on scenarios involving two factors: global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and Canadian economic and population growth.

Date of Release: Thursday, September 29, 2011
Time: 7 a.m. EST

The report, along with a news release and background information, will be distributed electronically and posted on the NRT website (www.nrtee-trnee.ca). Printed copies will also be made available at the NRT Office at 344, Slater Street, Suite 200, Ottawa, Ontario.
