Media Advisory: NRTEE Launches "Climate Prosperity" Program With New G8 Low-Carbon Performance Report

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 19, 2010) - The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy will release a new report on Thursday, May 20th measuring Canada's low-carbon performance against other G8 countries.

The NRTEE report, entitled Measuring Up: Benchmarking Canada's Competitiveness in a Low-Carbon World, is the first of seven reports to be released over the next two years as part of the NRTEE's new Climate Prosperity policy research program. Climate Prosperity will examine the economic risks and opportunities of climate change for Canada.

The NRTEE is a federally-appointed policy advisory agency dedicated to achieving environmental and economic sustainability.

Time 10 a.m. EST

Copies of the report along with a news release and other collaterals will be made available at the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery offices located at 607-150 Wellington Street, Ottawa. The report will also be posted on the NRTEE's website (www.nrtee-trnee.ca) at 10 a.m., EST.

NRTEE Chair Bob Page, President David McLaughlin and Round Table Member John Hachey will be available for interviews after the report is released.
