Media Advisory: NRTEE to Release New Report on Water Usage by Canada's Natural Resource Sectors

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 16, 2010) - The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE) will release a new report on Thursday, June 17th, examining water usage by key Canadian industries and the challenges that a growing economy pose to Canada's freshwater supply.

The report, entitled Changing Currents: Water Sustainability and the Future of Canada's Natural Resource Sectors, is the first of two volumes studying the issue. 

Date of Release: Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Time: 8 a.m. EST

The report, along with a news release and other collateral material, will be distributed electronically and posted on the NRTEE website (www.nrtee-trnee.ca). Printed copies will be made available at the NRTEE office at 344 Slater St., Suite 200, Ottawa, Ontario.

The report will also be the subject of a panel discussion chaired by NRTEE President and Chief Executive Officer David McLaughlin at the Canadian Water Summit.
