Media Advisory/Official Opening:"We Were So Far Away...": The Inuit Experience Of Residential Schools

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 26, 2009) - Library and Archives Canada, in partnership with the Legacy of Hope Foundation and the Aboriginal Healing Foundation, invite the media to the official opening of the exhibition entitled "We were so far away...": The Inuit Experience of Residential Schools.

The exhibition presents the residential school experience through the voices of eight courageous Inuit Survivors. Their voices have now been heard and will continue to educate future generations about this period in Canadian history.
