NORTH BAY, ONTARIO and NIPPISSING, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 2, 2011) - On Mon. Oct. 3, and only days before the provincial election, OFL President Sid Ryan will join North Bay NDP candidate Henri Giroux at the candidate's office.
Ryan will be urging union members and all workers to use the power of their vote to ensure a NDP victory.
"Education, health care and the absolutely vital issues of jobs and the area's economy are at stake in this election," said Ryan who is warning that the Tory and Liberal platforms pushing more corporate tax breaks at the expense of public services and worse jobs will only impair the North's ability to sustain the difficult times ahead.
"New Democrats stand up for our most vulnerable citizens. We believe in an Ontario that holds opportunities for people and prosperity that can be shared and enjoyed by all citizens, because we put people first!" said Giroux.
