TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 26, 2011) - While hundreds of thousands of activists take to the streets around the world to call for an end to austerity measures, workers in Canada continue to face corporate greed and government collusion that threaten good jobs and retirement security. The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) President Sid Ryan will rally with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), the United Steelworkers (USW) and the Occupy Toronto movement to take this message to Bay Street.

"Since forming a majority, the Harper government moved to aggressively strip postal workers, auto workers and flight attendants of the right to strike. Harper is bending to the whim of Corporate Canada by throwing away the rights of workers," said OFL president Sid Ryan. "CUPW has launched a constitutional challenge of Harper's back-to-work legislation.
