MEDIA ADVISORY - Ontario Ombudsman to release Annual Report on Wednesday, November 2


TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 28, 2016) - Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé will release his annual report for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, and an update on developments in the past six months, on Wednesday, November 2 – at a 2 p.m. news conference in the Queen's Park Media Studio. The report reviews the accomplishments of the Ombudsman's Office and updates recent and ongoing investigations. It is the Ombudsman's first annual report since his office's mandate was expanded to include municipalities, universities and school boards, in addition to provincial government organizations.

Prior to the news conference, there will be a technical briefing for journalists from 12:45 -1:45 p.m. in Committee Room 228, where copies of the Ombudsman's report will be available (under embargo until the news conference). Ombudsman staff will be available to answer questions on background. Journalists who are not members of the Queen's Park Press Gallery are asked to report to Room 387A of the Legislative Building for passes, or call 416-325-7922.
