VALCARTIER, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 12, 2016) - Media representatives are invited to attend the return of an initial group of CAF members from Valcartier tomorrow following their participation in the fourth rotation of Operation REASSURANCE in Central and Eastern Europe.

Most of the soldiers returning to Canada after more than seven months' deployment are from 3 Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, led by 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group based in Valcartier. Operation REASSURANCE refers to the activities undertaken by the Canadian Armed Forces in support of the reassurance measures implemented by NATO, including military capabilities relating to training, exercises, demonstrations and NATO assigned tasks.

The security regulations in effect at Jean Lesage International Airport prohibit journalists from entering the tarmac. Thus news photographers will not be able to take pictures of the troops as they exit the aircraft.
