TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 25, 2015) - In celebration of Dairy Farmers of Ontario's ("DFO") 50thAnniversary, Farms across the province will participate in "Open Farms Day", a unique opportunity for the public and media to learn about Ontario's agricultural industry. More than a dozen dairy farms will participate including Loa-De-Mede Farms Ltd. owned by The Werry Family Farm in Oshawa.
WHAT: A family friendly event focused on fun and education including milking demonstrations, manure management, talking cow, sandbox, games, educational booths, dairy samples and much more.
WHEN: June 27th, 2015 at 9am-3 pm
LOCATION: Buses available from the Legends Centre, 1661 Harmony Rd N, Oshawa to the farm.
Parking is available for media at Loa-De-Mede Farm 3572 Townline Rd N, Oshawa.
