OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 31, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators, in partnership with the Hockey Canada Foundation, the Ottawa District Hockey Association (ODHA) and the City of Ottawa, announced today that Scotiabank Place and the Bell Sensplex will host this year's Dreams Come True program on June 1 and 2.

Dreams Come True is a Hockey Canada Foundation initiative which provides 40 young hockey players in Ottawa with the opportunity to participate in organized sport. Each participant receives a full set of hockey equipment courtesy of Sport Chek, in addition to covering registration fees for the 2011-2012 minor hockey season.

The 40 players' journey to participate in organized hockey for the first time will begin June 1 at Scotiabank Place, where each will be outfitted with new equipment and then taken on a tour of the facility. The participants return to the Bell Sensplex on June 2 for a on-ice session featuring ODHA and Hockey Canada instructors teaching and interacting with the participants.

Who: Forty (40) registrants from local minor hockey associations as identified by the City of Ottawa and the ODHA.

When: Wednesday, June 1, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Children will be split into two groups for registration and equipment fitting. The on-ice skills camp at the Bell Sensplex will take place on Thursday, June 2, at 6:15 p.m.
