VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2012) - Our Place Society will be publicly recognizing the Victoria Foundation and donors for their seed funding for the weekend lunch pilot program on Saturday, December 8th at noon. Our Place received $49,608 in grants to open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The funds were provided by the Victoria Foundation through the Alistair S. Thomson Fund, Nathan Geminiano Fund, Humby Frampton Fund and three Anonymous Donor Advised Funds.
"Our Place is extremely grateful to the Victoria Foundation and the various funders for helping us address this gap in the community," said Don Evans, Executive Director of Our Place. "We want everyone including the family members coming for lunch on the weekend to know that this new program is made possible by the generous support of the Victoria Foundation and its funders."
The latest grant brings to over $800,000 the amount of funding that the Victoria Foundation has provided to Our Place to date.
